The quotation will be based on the assumption that all the following criteria is met:
Regarding your boat:
Is solely for personal use
Is in a seaworthy condition – if it is 15 years old or over, an out of water survey is required
It performs at less than 50 knots
Is not moored in an open bay between the 1st October and 31st May
You or any person using the boat have not:
Sustained any loss during the past 5 years
Had any criminal convictions
Been refused insurance or had any special terms imposed
You or any person using the boat have:
A nautical license if the boat engine exceeds 100HP. (From 1st January 2011 a nautical licence is required for motor propelled crafts pertaining 30HP and more)
A Yachtmaster’s certificate or equivalent if you are enquiring about a sailing boat exceeding 45 feet in length
Our Marine Hull Policies are only available to boats that are Registered or based in Malta for cruising within Mediterranean Waters.
